TabTrade — What It Is
Tab Trade went live in Q1 2026. Online broker based in Saint Lucia, regulated by the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection is relevant. It means the person running this is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not guarantee anything. But preferable to a founder with no industry background.
The broker opened with Equinix data centre access in London. Same infrastructure prime brokers run on. Usually a new brokerage focuses on ads and sign-up promos. These guys did the opposite. Unusual for a new broker.
Market coverage: FX, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, shares, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. Over 1,000 instruments. For something this new, that range is solid.
Platforms
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and web trading. Two major platforms from a single account. A lot of brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Having both matters. Use whichever you prefer.
MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Complete charts, EAs, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform previously, there are no surprises.
cTrader is the alternative. Cleaner order book. More responsive charts. Built-in algo trading. Many people find it more natural after using both.
Direct FIX connectivity is offered for automated strategies but needs the VIP account ($25,000 to open). TradingView is said to be in the works. That will round things out when it lands.
Costs
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. Commission-free. Straightforward. $0 to start. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is often a fraction of a pip. So your real cost can sit below 0.5 pips. That is cheap for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that have spreads this tight require a minimum deposit. TabTrade has no minimum.
VIP. $25k to open. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, negotiated fees. Not something most retail traders. Do not worry about it unless you trade institutionally.
Execution Speed
The execution is the thing Tab Trade actually does something different. Equinix servers in London. Under 30ms on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. Those are not marketing fluff. Most retail brokers operate at 100ms to 300ms.
Should you care? For short-term trading, yes. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you hold positions longer, you probably will not feel it. What matters is the infrastructure is there. That is what kind of broker this is.
Pair that infrastructure with the Edge account pricing and the total package holds up. Hardly anyone in this bracket offer execution like this.
Regulation
This is the part that requires honesty. Tab Trade is regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is tier-3. No ASIC. No government-backed safety net. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a dealbreaker, look elsewhere. There are ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
However. The founder came from BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is expensive. Scam brokers do not bother with proper execution infrastructure. That does not replace tier-1 regulation. It does be part of how you think about it.
The deal: you give up tier-1 protection. What you get instead: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether the trade-off makes sense depends on you.
Welcome Offer
TabTrade offers bonus funds of up to $2,000. Standard sign-up bonus. You deposit, the broker credit extra capital. Usual conditions attached: turnover conditions before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Check the terms before you commit.
